Assistant Prosecutor T. Shawn Hervey will be named interim prosecutor until an official decision is made by the county Republican Central Party of his permanent status around Feb. 19.

will receive the Republican Central Party's decision on Feb. 19.Hervey has longtime ties to the area, growing up in Bloomingdale and graduating from Wintersville High School.He completed his undergraduate work at Ohio State and earned his law degree from the University of Toledo.He
has also been involved in the community as a Little League baseball coach, a member of the Cadiz Presbyterian Church
and a representative with the Masonic Learning Center Board
in Steubenville to help dyslexic children.He
wife, Tonia, reside in Cadiz
has handled a wide range of cases during his
tenure, from unruly dogs to murder trials, so he
is well prepared for the task.
...Hervey's staff will include Mike Washington as assistant prosecutor; Rhonda Greenwood as CSEA and Department of Jobs and Family Services representative; and Carolyn Blackburn as victim's assistant, while Patti Sabo will continue as office manager.
