Susan von Gonten, New Mexico Environment Department Petroleum Storage Tank Bureau 1301 Siler Road, Building B Santa Fe, NM 87507 Tel: 505-476-4389 Email: susan.vongonten@state.nm.us Susan von Gonten is a project manager for over 60 LUST sites with the remedial action program of the NMED Petroleum Storage Tank Bureau. Her cleanup projects include active soil vapor extraction remediation systems and excavation and removal of petroleum hydrocarbon contaminated soil. Geophysical methods, such as electromagnetic surveys and ground penetrating radar, have been used at several of her projects to identify previously unknown underground storage tanks. Prior to joining NMED, she was an exploration geophysicist with Conoco and Hess Oil Company. She received her M.S. in Geology from the University of Wyoming and her B.S. in Geology from Brooklyn College.
