Susan Ollier, HonFICR CSci : Director of Clinical Operations & HQ Services
In her role as Director of Clinical Operations & HQ Services, Susan is accountable for the successful delivery of global project for QED. She also is responsible for the management of QED's core clinical operational team leaders and HQ services. She is an Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Clinical Research (for which she served as Chair from 2007 to 2009), a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine, a Chartered Scientist and a Member of the British Association for Research Quality Assurance. After studying Biological Sciences at Leicester University for her first degree, Susan worked in allergy research at St. Bartholomew's Hospital, London for 11 years. During this time, she presented extensively at national and international conferences and symposia and has published 3 chapters and over 20 papers in the field of asthma and allergy. In 1987, Susan moved from academia to the pharmaceutical industry, working initially with a small contract research company, establishing her own clinical research consultancy in 1993, which merged with QED Clinical Services Ltd in 2009.
