As a field director for the Clinton/Gore campaign in 1992 McCann
was responsible for all Clinton/Gore campaign logistics, volunteers and surrogate speakers in Delaware, Montgomery and Chester Counties, PA. Clinton/Gore successfully carried these counties.Following the Clinton/Gore campaign victory, McCann
served on President -elect Clinton's transition team in Washington DC as a researcher in the vetting office preparing background summaries of potential Cabinet and Sub-cabinet nominees for review by President-elect Clinton and Vice President-elect Gore.
While Special Assistant to the Administrator at the United States Small Business Administration
, (SBA), Susan
planned, organized, and ran ten town hall meetings throughout the country for the SBA
Administrator to gauge small business concerns which contributed to the Clinton Administration's small business policy.She
also represented the SBA
on the White House Task Force on Health Care
chaired by Mrs. Clinton.McCann was appointed by President Clinton to the position of Mid Atlantic Regional Director for the SBA.Here Susan was the primary spokesperson for the Clinton Administration on small business matters, appeared on CNBC and local television and radio, and testified on women business issues at Congressional field hearings. Recently McCann held the position of interim Public Relations Manager at the law firm of Saul Ewing, LLP where her role was to streamline the firm's media relations department and increase its regional media profile. McCann holds degrees in Public Administration and Finance from LaSalle University, a Masters in Business Administration from Villanova University, and has been recognized by Business Philadelphia Magazine and Working Woman Magazine as a "Woman to Watch."
