On March 7, Peel District School Board school social workers will celebrate National Social Work Week by presenting Susan Martin-Johnson, teacher of the Teen Education and Motherhood (TEAM) Program South, with the Helen Des Roches Starfish Award.
This award is presented annually to an individual who has made a significant difference in the lives of students facing obstacles to their education.
"Susan is an ideal recipient for this award," says Lisa Constantineau, social worker for the Peel board.
