Pianist Sung-Yun Kim, a DMA candidate at UNT for piano performance, has won many piano competitions in South Korea and the third prize winner in the International Piano Workshop Competition in Varna, Bulgaria.
has performed with the Keimyung University Orchestra, the Daegu New Philharmonia Orchestra, and the Bulgaria Varna Philharmonic Orchestra.
As a Collaborative pianist, he
has appeared in recital with performed with Julianne Baird, voice professor at Rutgers University in Camden, New Jersey and Ewa Iz.ykowska-K?osiewicz, voice professor of The Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music of Poland
and has performed with the Keimyung Opera, the Daegu Male Choir that received second prize in International Choir Olympics Official Competition and first prize in competition held by president of S. Korea, the Keimyung University Choir and the UNT A Cappella Choir
, the Recital Choir, the Grand chorus, the UNT Symphony Orchestra, the UNT Concert Orchestra, TWU Opera, and the North Texas Chamber Choir for GIA publications.
Sung-Yun Kim is a staff pianist at Texas Woman's University since 2011.
was an Adjunct faculty and a collaborative pianist-in-residence at Southeastern Oklahoma State University
He has also served as a Teaching Assistant at the University of North Texas (2007-2008).
Sung-Yun received his bachelor of music degree in piano performance and his musical training at the Keimyung University with First Prize, in Daegu, South Korea.
