As you've seen in earlier summary by Yingting Zhang, Dr. Tobias pointed out 5 goals of emotional intelligence during the conference: 1. Be aware of one's own feelings and those of others. Three kinds of feelings are often confused by many people: anger, frustration and disappointment.

Dr. Steven Tobias, who is a Psychologist and the Director of the Center for Child & Family Development in Morristown NJ will present this program.
Loving your child makes it harder to discipline them because your initial response to their behavior is emotional and not always rational. Disciplining adopted children is not different but sometimes parents need to be more careful because the dynamics can be more complex. This program will review parenting techniques that promote appropriate behavior within the child and loving relationships within the family.
Dr. Steven Tobias has also coauthored several books, including Emotionally Intelligent Parenting.
