Steven Kloman, CCRN, MSN, CNS: Neonatal Clinical Nurse SpecialistSteven is responsible for optimizing care of the neonate in the Intensive Care Nursery (ICN) at UCSF Children's Hospital.This is accomplished via bedside consultation with caregivers, research on clinical issues, development of protocols and staff education.With 51 beds, the ICN is the "largest" unit in the hospital but with the smallest patients.The patient population is diverse, ranging from the tiny premature babies to critically ill infants requiring ECMO.Steven has a strong interest in developmental care of the premature infant and also in palliative care.
