Steve Sniadach
Dr. Steve Sniadach, MD started his career as a respiratory therapist in 1975. He decided to further his studies with a Bachelors degree in biology from the University of Maryland. In 1983, Dr. Sniadach graduated from the University of Maryland with a Medical degree. Dr. Sniadach then spent the next four years completing two different residencies. He completed his surgical residency at Sinai hospital in Baltimore, Maryland and then went on to complete an Anesthesia residency at the Monmouth Medical Center in New Jersey. From 1986-2011, Dr. Sniadach worked as a general anesthesiologist and pain medicine physician for Kaiser Permanente in Denver. Dr. Sniadach was chairman of the anesthesia department of Saint Joseph hospital for 14 years and director of Anesthesia education for 23 years. He received outstanding teaching and doctor awards during his career. Dr. Sniadach has spent the last 25 years treating chronic back pain with lumbar epidural steroid injections (LESI) and trigger point injections. Dr. Sniadach realized early on that the LESI's were effective; however the pain seemed to return after 3-5 months. This led Dr. Sniadach to do research into the effects of an anti-inflamatory diet and alternative methods of treating back pain. He recently earned the Cenegenics Age Management Medicine certificate. He continues to council chronic pain patients about the benefits of a healthy diet and the effects that it can have on lowering pain. Dr. Sniadach is thrilled to become part of the Longmont Spine and Physical Medicine team. He has not only been a patient at the center in Longmont, but has been a true advocate of the rehabilitation protocols used in this facility. He will be available for consultations soon!
