P. Stephen (Steve) McDowell
Fort Bend County Mr. McDowell, a Professional Engineer (retired) who holds a master of business administration degree from Pepperdine University, is the owner of InfoNation, Inc., a Sugar Land-based marketing information and support firm catering to the auto industry and government agencies. Prior to beginning his post-retirement career, Steve enjoyed a long and productive tenure in the oil industry, holding positions in engineering, planning and economics, finance and administration. Upon retirement Steve was vice president of finance and administration for BP America. He is a founding member of Professional Engineers in Construction, served as district president of the American Association of Cost Engineers and a member of Business for the Arts. In addition to enjoying many church-related involvements, Steve has served actively in a variety of mental health/mental retardation organizations over the past 35 years. He is a former member of the board and past president of The Arc of Fort Bend County, member of The Arc Texas Legislative Affairs Committee, and member of the board of the Texas Council of Community Mental Health and Mental Retardation Centers. He and his wife, Eileen, are the parents of a son and two daughters, one of whom attended the Missouri City Training Center and resided at the Texana’s Needville North Street Group Home until her passing in 2006.

April and May's sales show that the clutches of the energy downturn and resulting job losses have reached into auto sales, InfoNation owner Steve McDowell wrote in a summary of the results.
"Although May sales have been affected by one-time events such as flooding, it is clear that demand for new vehicles has fallen sharply in the past two months," McDowell wrote.
