Frank's family came to Fairbanks in 1946 and played a major role in the development and growth of this community.Frank
was named "Business Leader of the Year" in 2001 by the Associated Students for Business at UAF.His experience includes serving as the Manager of Frontier Savings & Loan, serving as fiscal analyst to the Alaska Legislature's Legislative Budget & Audit Committee.Frank currently serves on the Alaska Permanent Fund Board of Trustees; Catholic Schools-Monroe Foundation Board; Alyeska Pipline Service Co.
President's Community Panel, Fairbanks Convention & Visitors Bureau
Board of Directors and many other boards and panels.Frank was first elected to the Alaska House of Representatives in 1984, and after two terms was elected to the state Senate, where he served from 1988-96.

Mr. Steve Frank was appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation on February 1, 2003 by Governor Frank H. Murkowski for a term ending July 1, 2004.
Mr. Frank is a former Fairbanks State Senator who served in the Alaska State Legislature from 1985 through 1996 and is a lifelong Fairbanksan.
Mr. Frank has worked in banking and real estate in the past, and now owns and operates Rivers Edge Resort on the banks of the Chena River in Fairbanks.
