Steve Dettman, BA, MF.
has spent the past 10 years managing forest conservation projects around the world.
He is based on Portland, Oregon and has most recently worked with the Nature Conservancy in Central America, Ecotrust, the Mountains to Sound Greenway, the Puget Sound Partnership, the US Fish and Wildlife Service, and the US Bureau of Land Management.
For the past five years he
has focused primarily on developing forest carbon offset projects under regulatory and voluntary protocols.
He is a recognized AFOLU expert with the Verified Carbon Standard, and an accredited verifier under the US Forestry and Urban Forestry protocols with the California Air Resources Board.
Steve received his Master's in Forestry from Yale University and is a Society of American Foresters Certified Forester (#4019).
