As a graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Steve started his career with a software firm specializing in the construction industry.
After developing several years of experience selling software, Steve
moved on to Support Net, IBM's leading distributor, at the time.
quickly rose through the ranks from Sales Rep, to Sales Manager, to Director of Product Marketing.
Steve left Support Net and founded PreferredPartner in 2000.
The initial business model behind PreferredPartner
was to help IBM Business Partners
team together to leverage each other's technical skills.
But as the dot com bubble burst, he
recognized the need within the IBM software channel for an IBM-only software focused service provider.
The business model to "do one thing, and do it better than anyone else" has made PreferredPartner
a respected leader in the IBM software channel, working with over 100 Business Partners nationwide.
