High School where he was also in charge of the offensive line and defensive backs.He was also the assistant head coach and strength coordinator at Earlham College from 1999 until 2003 after serving eight years as an assistant head coach, strength coordinator and line coach at Chippewa High School in Doylestown, OH.He

Coach Carpenter is a '05 Earlham College (Psychology) graduate, making him the second EC alumni on Coach Spechtâ€™s staff.
Steve Carpenter will guide the 2006 Cincinnati Marshals as the head football coach, the new ownership group announced today."We are pleased to have someone with Steve's experience and enthusiasm as our head coach," Marshals owner Doug Hortman said.
