Dr. Lucie graduated from the University of North Carolina and obtained his medical doctor degree from the Medical College of Georgia.

Dr. Lucie is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and he is one of the only orthopaedic surgeons in North Florida who has a board certified sub-specialty certificate in orthopaedic sports medicine.
Dr. Lucie is a leader in the State of Florida in Sports Medicine and is the current president of the Florida Alliance for Sports Medicine, is the chairman of the Sports Medicine Committee for the Florida Orthopaedic Society and is the state representative to the American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine.
is one of the preeminent practitioners of sports medicine in Florida and has served athletes of all ages including high school, collegiate, and professional athletes.
For seven years, Dr. Lucie served as the first head-team physician for the NFL Jacksonville Jaguars and helped develop the team sports medicine facility.
He continues to work as a consultant with the Jaguars and serves as the head team physician for Jacksonville University, The Bolles School, and as an orthopedic consultant at the University of North Florida.
He is currently a team physician for the AFL (Arena Football League) Jacksonville Sharks.
treats a number of both surgical and non-surgical sports problems including running injuries and fitness problems.
is an avid runner and has completed ten marathons including in New York, Boston, and London.
is also a leader in total joint replacements including knees, hips, and shoulders.
is one of the pioneers in the use of the Mako robotically controlled computer navigated uni-compartment knee replacement and performs the new, exciting, anterior supine total hip replacement which has enabled some patients to return to their activities at an early level.
lectures and teaches new techniques in joint replacement and sports medicine all over the State of Florida.
