Next Sunday morning, Steven Braucht will lead us in worship "in view of a call" to serve as Minister of Music for First Baptist Church of Plano!
I'm thrilled to announce that our Search Committee
shares a unanimous sense of God's leadership in recommending that we call Steven
to serve with us.
We will worship in one service at 10:45 am in the Sanctuary next Sunday, October 6; a Special Business meeting has been duly called to consider the recommendation of the Search Committee
Who is Steven Braucht?
You'll hear his
testimony in his
own words next Sunday morning (did I mention "one service at 10:45 am in the Sanctuary?), but let me share a few important facts.
is an experienced worship leader who is passionate about leading believers in worshiping Jesus.
is committed to equipping worshipers to use all their God-given talents to serve Him through ministry in the church and community.
is extremely capable in both vocal and instrumental techniques, in traditional and contemporary styles, and in guiding children, youth and adults to grow as worshipers.
A gifted minister, Steven has served the First Baptist Church of Terrell since 2009.
Prior to that, he was Minister of Music for First Baptist Church of Robinson, Texas.
During a six year span, Steven worked as a high school Choir Director for the Robinson and Waco Independent School Districts, sensing God's call to vocational ministry through music.
Steven has earned the Bachelor of Music Education as well as the Master of Music degree from Baylor University.
Specializing in Church Music, his
focus was conducting and vocal performance.
A member of the Singing Men of North Central Texas, Steven has been involved in missions locally and in the Ukraine.
plays the trumpet and the guitar.
Dr. Randall Bradley, who leads the Church Music program at Baylor, says the best thing about Steven is "his deep love for people; his willingness to stay engaged with people who need to grow or need help.
would tell you the best thing about him is Melanie, his
wife, and their two precious daughters: Lexi, who just turned five, and Lilly, who is two years old.
