Mendez and Stephen Boyd
discussed the Hunt case and Boyd's new book, "Making Justice Our Business: The Wrongful Conviction of Darryl Hunt and the Work of Faith."
Boyd, a religion professor at Wake Forest University, said that series and Mendez persuaded him to get involved with Hunt's case in 2003.
The articles raised doubts in Boyd's mind about Hunt's guilt.
