Party Music Unlimited Productions was founded in 1978 by a Staten Island musician and video enthusiast Stephen Antonucci
and John Magurno, a Queens, NY Disc Jockey and talented sound system builder.
, who still owns and operates the company, has performed personally at over 4000 events.
Staten Island FerrySoon after it established itself, PMU began to offer video services such as video taping, editing, large screen TV projection, photo displays/montages, film to video transfers, video tape conversions for all formats and overseas TV systems, video/audio tape and CD duplication, live sound reinforcement, A/V & multimedia consulting and engineering, videoconferencing, web site creation & administration, video/audio post production as well as assisting clients in planning their events.Digital media is now our main business.This is mostly due to Stephen Antonucci's
very diverse experiences.Stephen Antonucci started as a musician working in a "garage band" and performed at events and clubs around Staten Island.
Some of his
original "band mates" went on to play with some successful acts such as "The Capris", "Joe Jackson Band", "Great White", & "Twisted Sister
".Stephen Antonucci worked at the former "Sound Heights Recording Studio" in Brooklyn NY, as a production assistant during college from 1975- 1977 on many commercial record demos and projects. Stephen studied at Staten Island College, American Academy, and the former "Center for the Media Arts" in Manhattan, where he earned five diplomas, specializing in audio/video production, equipment maintenance, engineering, and electronics.He received his digital electronics and computer science training from Cincinnati Institute of Electronics and is a factory-trained technician by Sony, Panasonic, Electrohome, Cisco Systems, Vidstar, & British Telecom.He is a former associate member of the Audio Engineering Society and has been a participant at many industry conventions, seminars, and workshops.Stephen
participates in the Apple Consultants Network (formally the Apple Solutions Expert) program. Stephen
has earned several certificates for Adobe
, and Apple desktop graphic and video editing software.He has taught Apple Final Cut Pro at the graduate level at a New Jersey State College and has trained many clients one on one.Stephen
