August 17, East Meadow - Hofstra University School of Law has named Stephanie J. Leibert the first recipient of the Certilman Balin Honors Scholarship, a full tuition scholarship resulting from a collaboration between the law school and the law firm to reward an outstanding incoming student.
This special opportunity will enable Ms. Leibert to develop a close relationship throughout her law school career with Certilman Balin, calling upon the firm's attorneys as mentors and working as an intern when her schedule permits.

"Ms. Leibert was selected from a fabulous pool of applicants," said Margaret Sirot, Assistant Dean of Hofstra University School of Law.
A graduate of Columbia University's Barnard College, Ms. Leibert graduated, magna cum laude, with a major in political science and a minor in psychology.
work experience includes an internship at CNBC Television, and teaching assistant jobs where she
worked with emotionally disturbed and mentally challenged children, as well as with Spanish-speaking children.
While at Columbia University, she served as Treasurer of the Model Congress Club, Vice President of the Inter-Greek Life, President and Head of Funding for Columbia's Marisa Goldwater Bone Marrow Fund, and as an active member of the University's College Democrats and its Political Science Association.
