Stephanie Aaronson, Vice President, American Graduate Initiative

Stephanie Aaronson is the Vice President of the American Graduate initiative. She is responsible for leading the implementation of a multi-year grant program to help communities take action to lower high school dropout rates and encourage students to stay in school. The project includes the creation of local and national content, management of partnerships and collaborations with local business leaders and other non-profits, and development of resources and curriculum for parents, teachers and students.
Ms. Aaronson comes to CPB with over 18 years experience in media and communications. Prior to CPB, she was Senior Director of Communications at PBS and PBS KIDS, where she served on the senior corporate strategy and operations teams. She created and lead the PBS Healthy Kids and Healthy Communities Initiative, managed children's education and health advisory boards, and oversaw PBS' communications and events. Previously, she held public affairs and marketing positions at Hallmark Channel, Lifetime Television, Discovery Communications, and Rutledge Broadcasting.
Ms. Aaronson also serves on NIH's Director's Council of Public Representatives Federal Advisory Board. She holds a degree and certificates from Georgetown University, George Mason University, and American University, and is currently pursuing a Masters in Public Policy at George Mason University.
