Miss Stella Vig, BSc, MBBCh, FRCS(Eng), MCh, FRCS(Gen Surg)
Stella Vig is the Foundation Programme Director for Croydon University Hospital and is responsible for the newly graduated doctors in their first and second year.
In addition she is the Core Surgery Training Programme Director for South West London and holds responsibility for developing trainees wishing to pursue a career in surgery.
has a passion for ensuring that trainees are developed holistically and has a particular interest in trainees in difficulty.
qualified from the University of Wales Medical School
and trained in South Wales and then London.
She is a Consultant Vascular and General Surgeon at Croydon University Hospital and is also the Clinical Lead for General Surgery.
has developed several courses and has been the Training and Assessment Tutor for the Royal College of Surgeons of England
has developed a Building Excellence in Surgical Trainees Course and has enabled trainers and trainees to adopt the new training tools.
also plays a leading role in MediMentors, which mentoring prospective medical and dental students to help with their career choices when considering medical or dental school and advising on employability in science and healthcare once students have graduated from university.
