Her doctoral research, on youth citizenship, focused on the interconnections between lived experience, citizenship and political engagement. She has, both prior to and since completing her PhD, worked extensively in the areas of youth engagement, political participation and discrimination, on projects funded by, among others, the EU Fundamental Rights Agency, the ESRC, and local government.
