(NASDAQ: SYMM) today announced that Dr. Stefan Winkler, principal technologist for Symmetricom's QoE Assurance Division, is speaking on the panel, "Quality Assurance for Extreme Services" at IPTV World Forum Asia 2007 on Friday, December 7, 2007 in Suntec, Singapore.

He was formerly chief scientist and co-founder of Genista Corporation, a provider of quality assurance solutions for IPTV and mobile media.
He has also held assistant professor positions at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, and has worked for Hewlett-Packard, Siemens, German Aerospace and Andersen Consulting.
has published more than 40 papers on perceptual quality measurement and is the author of the book, "Digital Video Quality.
He has also been a member and contributor of the Video Quality Experts Group (VQEG) since its founding in 1997.
Dr. Winkler holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Technology in Vienna, Austria and a doctorate from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland.
