Dr Stéphane Rinfret is an interventional cardiologist and an epidemiologist, currently appointed as associate professor at Laval University.

has held several peer-reviewed grants, published over 100 peer-reviewed articles, several abstracts, and been invited over 150 times to give lectures in the past 5 years.

is currently responsible for the institute catheterization laboratory database.
He is also a high volume operator, performing over 250 percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) per year, mostly from the transradial approach, and for the most part complex procedures.
is responsible of the chronic total occlusion (CTO) program at the institute, which has driven most of his
focus over the last 5 years.
has performed over 500 of CTO PCI
since January 2010, including a large number of retrograde procedures, and pursues a very active teaching program of transradial and CTO PCI
techniques in Canada, US and France.
