After working in a senior engineering capacity at the BBC, Simon started Maddox Broadcast.
The products it produced, video electronics and user friendly computer softw are, increased automation to the TV markets.
During the 1980s and 90s Simons Product had 90% market share throughout Europe and the UK.
After selling the company in 2000, and in the wake of 9-11, Simon moved into the field of business continuity, starting Office-Shadow Ltd.
From initial concepts Office-Shadow quickly moved to specialise in the software that Simon
devised - Shadow-Planner
This established itself as the first global web based BCM tool.
By using email reminders and maintenance schedules to ensure currency of information, it majored on the management lifecycle not just the initial plan production.
With high profile international Clients on four continents and users numbering in there tens of thousands Simon's innovative approach has impacted how BCM software has evolved.
Following the acquisition of Shadow-Planner
by ICM in 2009, Simon
was ready for a new challenge.
In June 2011 he formed BCMX.
Building on the experience of the previous start-ups, this organisation is dedicated to providing a universal method of securely exchanging information between businesses.
has 5 children, lives in the UK and the engineer in him still enjoys fixing things.
