Dr. Litvin is one of the founders of GEN3 Partners and is responsible for the quality of its innovation services. He drives the ongoing development, testing and implementation of GEN3's methodology, and supervises GEN3's Global Knowledge Network of experts. Dr. Litvin has led dozens of innovation projects for Fortune 1000 companies worldwide including Alcoa, British American Tobacco, Chiquita, Clorox and Covidien. He is also the CEO of Algorithm, GEN3's technical innovation center in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Prior to joining GEN3, Dr. Litvin served as Executive Vice President and Chief Scientist of Pragmatic Vision International (PVI). At PVI, he developed more than 100 breakthrough technologies for the company's delivery system in Russia and Israel. Before PVI, he served as Vice President at Invention Machine Corporation where he led numerous international consulting projects for Fortune 500 companies such as P&G, Motorola and Intel.
Dr. Litvin is one of the world's foremost experts on Open Innovation, Value Engineering, and TRIZ. He has more than 35 years of experience developing, teaching, and implementing innovation methods.
He is Vice President, R&D of International TRIZ Association and Chairman of TRIZ Master Certification Board. He is also a member of the Altshuller Institute for TRIZ Studies, USA and European TRIZ Association (ETRIA).
Dr. Litvin is the author of over 20 patents, nearly 100 scientific and academic articles, and six books.

Dr. Litvin earned his M.S.C.E from State Marine University in St. Petersburg, Russia. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Russian Academy of Science, The Institute of Science of Machine Problems in St. Petersburg, Russia. Dr. Simon Litvin is one of the world's leading experts on the "science of innovation".His scientific expertise provides the leadership required to deploy the G3: Innovation Discipline (G3:ID).He began his innovation career as a leading expert on TRIZ, a method for generating innovative and practical solutions to difficult product development and manufacturing problems.

Through his understanding of one of the major problems with the product innovation process, the inability to capture knowledge from pre existing innovation and the practical application of them to new challenges, Dr. Litvin worked with leading scientists worldwide and began to create a network of experts and a unique approach of using this network in the product innovation process.The G3: Global Knowledge Network (G3: GKN) was created by Litvin and is managed through the GEN3 research center in St. Petersburg Russia.It networks more than 6,000 scientists who can solve nearly any technical challenge needed during a G3: ID challenge.
Dr. Litvin is responsible for the Russian branch of GEN3 in St. Petersburg, Russia, in addition to his responsibilities in the US.
Before joining GEN3, Dr. Litvin was executive vice president and chief scientist and a co-founder of Pragmatic Vision International, an innovation consulting firm that GEN3 acquired in 2002.Prior to working at Pragmatic Vision, he was vice president at Invention Machine Corp., another product innovation consultancy.At IMC, he also led TRIZ training at such companies as General Electric, Eastman Kodak, Xerox and Ford Motor.
