is, why we are honoring her
, and why we SHOULD BE honoring her
will probably not believe half of what we're going to describe.
This woman's repertoire defies description and behavior analysis owes a debt of gratitude probably beyond the possibility of repayment.
contributions to education, behavior, and the recognition and respect that has come to our discipline in Texas and throughout the country is not an easy challenge.
First, we'll mention her
contributions to the INTRODUCTION OF, INTEREST IN, AND ACCEPTANCE of Behavior Analysis in Texas.
She served as Founding Chair of the Department of Behavior Analysis at the University of North Texas (UNT), which led to the development of the first graduate and undergraduate programs in behavior analysis.
The graduate program was the first to be accredited by Association for Behavior Analysis
characteristic prescience for important developments in our field, Dr. Glenn
, a charter certificant of the Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB), also led the UNT faculty in developing the first internet sequence of behavior analysis courses approved by the BACB.
She has earned recognition from ABA: Serving as President (1993-94), a fellow of Division 25 of the American Psychological Association (APA), and Regents Professor Emeritus of Behavior Analysis at UNT.
Her contributions to TxABA are also worth mentioning: she was a founding member of TxABA in 1986, the Secretary-Treasurer from 1986-87, and President in 1992.
In recognition of her competency, knowledge and her application of our discipline she also served as Consulting Chief Psychologist of Denton State School, while maintaining her position as Department Chair at UNT.
