Supervisor Meegan noted that they were looking for efficiency and compliance. Councilman Rusinski thought it was a substantial benefit to the taxpayers that there will be an independent firm handling the finances of the town. An independent firm has no association or political interest other than the fiscal stability of the town and that will be a good thing for the town. Councilman Hart also noted that the town has Drescher & Malecki as its independent accountant and their annual financial reports of the town are available for review by the public. He commented that they are outstanding accountants and he hoped they would continue their relationship with them. Supervisor Meegan agreed and noted that the financial reports will soon be available on the town's website.
