ACCESS is proud to share two recent videos produced by the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE), in which ACCESS Near South Regional Manager and Certified Diabetes Educator Sheila Harmon is featured.
In the videos, Sheila
perspectives about treating diabetes patients in underserved communities and the challenges that many of her
patients face in accessing healthy foods.
Sheila was the only educator from the Chicago area featured in AADE's tribute to diabetes educators, which originally debuted during the AADE 2012 Conference held August 1 - 3 in Indianapolis.
"We are thrilled with the outcome of both videos and couldn't find a better star than Sheila Harmon," shared Marian Long, Director of Meeting Services, American Association of Diabetes Educators.
