Sharon Pleggenkuhle is a manager and consultant for Disney Institute.
In these influential leadership roles, Sharon implements 20 years of training and operational experience into developing the skills of the Disney Institute
facilitation team while also helping organizations benchmark Disney best practices to enhance the way they do business.
Sharon joined Disney in 1990 as an operations Cast Member at Disney's Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. From there, Sharon transitioned to roles in theme park operations management, training, and Guest talent & education programs.
In 2005, Sharon began working with Disney Institute as a tour manager and content specialist.
She eventually was promoted into her current leadership role in which she recruits, trains and mentors Disney Institute facilitators.
Sharon also continues to manage Disney Institute's group and leisure tours and teambuilding business.
As a consultant, Sharon works with clients to develop a comprehensive approach to organizational improvement in the areas of service, leadership, management, customer loyalty and creativity/innovation.
Once the plan is developed, Sharon
travels the world with other Disney Institute
facilitators and consultants to help organizations implement the new approach, often resulting in a dramatic return on investment for the client.
Sharon received her Bachelor of Science degree in journalism with an emphasis in advertising from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio.
Certified Professional in Learning and Performance certification (CPLP) in 2010.
