Sharon O'Neill Correspondent, UTV Follow Sharon on Twitter: @sharon_utv Since joining UTV in 2007 Sharon O'Neill has become one of UTV's most senior correspondents reporting on Northern Ireland's biggest news stories. Previous to joining UTV, Sharon freelanced as a sub-editor and reporter at the Irish News and Belfast Telegraph before becoming the full time sub-editor at the Daily Mirror. She then moved onto the Irish News as a Reporter and within two years she was made Chief Reporter specialising in crime, policing, legacy issues, unsolved murders, etc. Sharon joined UTV's Insight team in 2007 before moving onto news reporting for UTV Live. Sharon now works on UTV's highly acclaimed current affairs programme UTV Live Tonight. Earlier this year Sharon was named CIPR News and Current Affairs broadcaster of the year. Sharon graduated from the University of Central Lancashire in Preston with a 2:1 degree in journalism.
