Sean has worked as a Food Safety Specialist with the Province of Nova Scotia for the last 8 years, doing routine food safety, long term care and child care inspections.
He has been a member of the institute since 1999 and a member of the NS/PEI Branch Executive for the last 6 years and currently the President-Elect.
He is also member of the Food Protection Division enforcement committee and co-authored the division's Emergency Operation Manual.
He has also been involved in the Canadian Red Cross as a disaster management volunteer in the roles of Emergency Response Team Leader for the last 7 years.
has also been involved in assisting clients through numerous personal disasters, apartment fires and a deployment to the Northern Alberta Fires.
Over those years of Red Cross experience and as an EPH professional, he
now looks through situations not just through a public health lens as we all do but a humanitarian lens.
