B4S:You're a big proponent of using workshops as prospecting tools. What's the benefit of doing that? Sean: I've found workshops to be a much more effective tool than cold-calling. Sean: About 17 years ago, my doctor told me I was in danger of having a heart attack. This warning hit home because my mother had died of heart problems when she was just 30. Sean: When I look back at some of the barriers I encountered over the course of my career, I'm struck by my good fortune in finding people who helped me overcome those challenges. Sean: One of the things I like to stress is that while the use of technology is an absolute must to grow your business, the most important tool an advisor can use is something that I like to call "face mail.
