Profile Services Sectors Locations Sean has over 29 years of experience as a lawyer in four different jurisdictions, with 24 of those years based in the Middle East. During that time, he has specialised in major infrastructure projects across the power, water and industrial sectors, corporate commercial (including investigatory and mergers and acquisition work), tourism and property development work. Sean also advises on major infrastructure projects ranging between ports, petrochemical plants, real estate, tourism developments, oil and gas related and infrastructure. Sean has worked on a wide variety of internal corporate and government investigations, IPOs, drafting of laws for regional governments and structuring of regional corporate vehicles for multinational businesses. He has extensive experience in Sultanate of Oman, having lived/worked in that jurisdiction since 1991. Sean has been previously engaged by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the Sultanate of Oman to review and redraft the Oman Commercial Companies Law. He has undertaken several regional corporate restructuring exercises for numerous multinational businesses operating in the Middle East. Sean Angle joins Stephenson Harwood as corporate and projects partner in Dubai
Dubai-based Stephenson Harwood corporate and projects partner Sean Angle led the project for Omagine Inc, along with associate Toufic Safie. Angle said: "We are pleased to see the completion of this major deal. The project will be one of the largest integrated tourism complexes to ever be undertaken in Oman and the next few years of development will be very exciting times for the area." Background to the deal: Angle was appointed as Trowers & Hamlins' head of Oman in 2000 (6 March 2000). It was in this post that he developed his long-standing relationship with Omagine through chief executive officer Frank J Drohan. In 2006 Angle was poached by Reed Smith to lead its new office in the Dubai International Finance Centre (8 September 2006) and took the client to the new role.
