Scott K. Wilderman is the President/CEO of Career Resources, one of the nation's leading non-profit workforce development organizations.
has considerable experience in both the private and the non-profit sectors.
After earning a Masters Degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, he worked in human resources at General Dynamics in the Electric Boat Division, where he helped create the first employer-led one-stop system during Electric Boat's transitional years.
He subsequently became the Training Manager at Advest Financial Services, and moved into the non-profit sector through his interest in working with disadvantaged youth.
Mr. Wilderman came to Career Resources after holding senior management positions at the Community Renewal Team in Hartford.
has nearly twenty years experience in the workforce development system, where he
has developed excellent working relationships throughout New England.
At Community Renewal team, he managed the state's largest welfare-to-work program and oversaw CTWorks One-Stop operations in Hartford, Manchester and Middletown.
is highly skilled in building community investment in collaborative ventures.
In the Greater Hartford area, he
brought together a diverse team of state organizations, community partners and employers to build a strong coalition which still brings a variety of critical services to One-Stop clients.
Mr. Wilderman serves on the Connecticut Employment and Training Commission's Performance Measures Subcommittee, the Board of the Bridgeport Child Advocacy Committee, The Bridgeport Neighborhood Trust, The Low-Wage Worker Task Force, the Connecticut Fatherhood Council, and the People-to-Jobs Task Force.
coordinated and expanded a Disabilities Advisory Council in Hartford and Bridgeport.
Most recently, Scott co-founded the ReEntry Roundtable.
In the ten years he has been in Southwestern Connecticut, he has led Career Resources in the achievement of several honors.
