Scott began his career in the state and local tax business in 1982.
In 1991 he founded Innovative Consulting Service in Indianapolis which quickly grew to one of the largest regional firms.
In 1995 Scott
practice in with BKD, LLP
(formerly GSO, LLC) and became one of the first non CPA partners in a national accounting firm, running the state and local tax practice.
In 1999 Scott started MiB Group, a provider of mortgage leads.
The business grew significantly over a two year period and was purchased by one of the largest publicly traded mortgage companies in the country.
Prior to founding AGS Capital in May of 2002, Scott spent 18 months engaged by a local Indianapolis company managing it through a turnaround and restructuring.
has hands-on experience with workouts and turnarounds.
has been involved in the successful turnaround of several companies involved in fire and safety, publishing, manufacturing, warehousing and software development.
efforts have saved hundreds of jobs and generated millions of dollars in new revenues and profits for the companies.
In addition, Scott
has overseen the start-up of many successful businesses.
He has raised capital, established office systems, administrative and accounting procedures, hired key staff, developed marketing strategies and managed sales.
Having started his
first company in 1979 Scott
has successfully steered many companies through startup to exit.
has been a speaker at seminars on tax and finance issues with many corporations and organizations throughout Indiana.
has volunteered his
services with several civic and community organizations.
