After attending Ball State University, Weaver began his career was in tax consulting where he helped DuCharme, McMillen & Assoc. Inc., become one of the largest companies in its field.
He then founded Innovative Consulting Services which merged with BKD, where he became one of the nation's first non-degreed direct entry partners in a Big 12 accounting firm.
In 1997 Scott left BKD to enter the field of venture capitalism.
By 2002 he had founded and sold two successful startups and become president and a partner of AGS Capital LLC, which became a top 10 Indianapolis Venture Capital firm.
In 2010 Scott left AGS, and he is now president of SAW Capital LLC.
