Scott Teeple
Scott Teeple, Associate Professor of Music, conducts the wind ensemble, shares responsibilities with the concert band, and teaches undergraduate and graduate conducting at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Through his interest in both music education and composition, Teeple continues to create programs that encourage the premier of works by young composers.His ensembles have initiated and participated in yearlong projects for music educators.During the school year, Teeple also conducts the UW sponsored Winds of Wisconsin, a premiere high school honor band comprised of students from across the state of Wisconsin.

Scott Teeple
Scott Teeple is a Professor of Music at University of Wisconsin-Madison. A teacher of conducting, Teeple conducts for both the concert band and wind ensemble, as well as Wisconsin's statewide high school honors band, Winds of Wisconsin, and the MATC Municipal Band. Previously, he has guest conducted and lead All-States in California, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, New Jersey, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Wisconsin, the World Youth Wind Symphony at Interlochen, the American School in Singapore, and the IASAS Cultural Festival. Before his appointment at the University of Wisconsin, Teeple served on the faculty at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, the University of Michigan (Teeple's alma mater), St. Clair County Community College, and Port Huron Northern High School; on the executive board of the Wisconsin Music Educators' Association; and on the Arts Alliance Executive Board. Currently, Teeple is treasurer of the Big Ten Band Director's Association, and member of the College Band Director's National Association, the Music Educator's National Conference, and the World Association of Symphonic Bands and Ensembles.

Under the direction of Scott Teeple, assistant professor of music, the UWSP Wind Ensemble will play in Michelsen Hall of the Fine Arts Center.
Part of the Music Scholarship Series, admission is $5 for general public, $3 for senior citizens, $2 for youth and free for students with a UWSP ID. Tickets are available at the door or at the University Box Office, Room 103A of the University Center, or by calling (715) 346-4100 or (800) 838-3378.Visa, MasterCard or Discover cards are accepted.

The UWSP Wind Ensemble, conducted by Scott Teeple, associate professor of music, will perform "A Lincoln Portrait" by Aaron Copland, "Amazing Grace" and "American Guernica" by Thomas Hailstork.
Teeple is director of bands at UWSP and has served as clinician and conductor for honors bands throughout the U.S.
Previously, he was assistant director of bands at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.He conducted the Michigan Youth Band, had frequent appearances with the Symphony and Concert Bands and was assistant director of the Marching Band.He also served on the faculty at St. Clair County Community College, on the brass staff of the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps and has taught low brass for the All-State program at Interlochen.
