LeClaire is a former musician who has worked his way up the industry ladder, literally.He began learning the business by installing carpet.After working as an apprentice for nearly two years, Scott purchased a truck, hired two additional installers and went out on his own.Shortly thereafter, he hired a second crew, bought another vehicle and created a formidable installation business in the Ocean City area.When he felt confident in his abilities and business plan, he opened the resort's largest retail flooring center.
"The complexity and dynamic of Ocean City was changing," LeClaire said."People were relocating here and didn't have anywhere to go to satisfy their flooring needs.It really inspired me to open a retail location."
Today, LeClaire is also known throughout the region for his visionary design talents.His attention to detail, industry knowledge and incredible creativity consistently produce breathtaking stone and tile patterns and innovative flooring concepts.
"I have always taken pride in everything that I have done," said LeClaire, who credits Mark Clark, a well known builder and developer, as a major influence on his ability and creativity.
