Scott Crane, Challenge Course and Outreach Coordinator
Scott's experience with Camp Henry
began when he
volunteered as an Assistant Counselor in 1998 and again in 1999.While attending Northern Michigan University Scott
worked for 3 summers at Camp Henry
as a Counselor and spent one summer as the Adventure Programming Director, this experience also served as an internship.He earned his B.S. in Outdoor Recreation Leadership and Management at Northern Michigan University.In the fall of 2004 Scott joined Camp Henry's year round staff as a Program Instructor & Facilitator and served as the Assistant Summer Camp Director during the summer of 2005.Scott
was promoted to his
current fulltime positions in November of 2005.In addition to his
experiences at Camp Henry
Scott worked as the Challenge Course Director and facilitator at Northern Michigan Universities Outdoor Recreation
and Program Center, for 2 years.When at NMU he also served as an assistant teacher for an Adventure Based Learning course.In his life outside of camp Scott spends most of his time with his fiancée Lindsey who he met while they were working together at Camp Henry.
Some things that you may find Scott doing when he
is not camp are: visiting with his
family in Spring Lake, MI, visiting his
grandparents vacation property, visiting his
sister in Marquette, MI, visiting the beach at Hoffmaster State Park, hiking, camping, reading, woodworking, or playing Frisbee golf.
