Scott Bock of Riverside Community Care Receives Association for Behavioral Healthcare's Exemplary Leadership Award
Dedham, MA - The Association for Behavioral Healthcare (ABH), a statewide organization representing over 80 community-based behavioral healthcare provider organizations, today announced its 2015 Recognition Awards recipients at its Salute to Excellence event. Each year, ABH recognizes individuals and groups that have made impressive contributions to the field of mental health and addiction treatment. This year, Scott Bock, Founder and President/CEO of Riverside Community Care, received the Exemplary Leadership Award for his extraordinary leadership in the face of adversity.
In addition to his work over the past 33 years in founding and guiding Riverside to become a large and highly regarded service system, Scott has been exceptional in leading the provider community's efforts in successful advocacy for rate reform in the form of Chapter 257. He has been the Chair of The Collaborative, the entity that coordinates efforts across ABH, ADDP, and the Providers' Council for many years. As Chair of The Collaborative since Chapter 257 passed, Scott has worked most often behind the scenes to develop strategies, developing and achieving consensus on positions and actions, and planning communications. Scott's unwavering commitment to unity, and to the goal of fair and reasonable funding, and his skills and efforts have helped keep The Collaborative together and on course to achieve success in the implementation of Chapter 257.
Scott was recognized at a ceremony at the Westin Hotel in Waltham.
