Saul Shaoul and my many efforts over the years to make his tremendous wealth of knowledge and trading skills available to you. Well, I'm trying it again. Saul has made it very clear to me over the past few months that he wants to be more involved with Marlin. We've had several meetings about it and I presented to him how I thought he could best help you: order flow, order flow, and more order flow. For those of you who don't know Saul, he has been a CBOT member since the mid-1980's and was a pretty big player in the bond pit back in the days of open outcry trading when the bond pit was 600 traders yelling out bids and offers and hand-signaling. He moved to an office a few years ago and primarily trades bonds and SPs. In the past couple years he's been behind the scenes at Marlin, but in our recent conversations I've learned his trading preparation now includes a longer-term analysis of the market. He also has insights into the grain market and gold (besides the bonds/ notes, mini-Dow and SPs that he has always traded) - so this presents some opportunities for Marlin and you.
Starting November 24th, Saul will host a 1 hour session at 2:30pm CT (with time for questions after) in the hotcomm room on the last Monday of each month. This session will include his longer term analysis of all the markets he follows (see above) and his thoughts on the upcoming Nonfarm payrolls report. The cost of the session is $99.
Starting November 12th, Saul will use the hotcomm room each Wednesday at 1:00pm CT for order flow education. Each 1 hour session will focus on the order book; Saul's platform will be on camera as he trades the last hour of the day and walks you thru what he is looking at and why he is placing his trades. A package of 3 sessions is $90. Saul is offering this program only in increments of 3 sessions.
For more information on any of these programs, contact Saul directly at (312) 347 5478 or at

CHICAGO, Dec. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Jack Broz and Saul Shaoul, Chicago Board of Trade members and owners of The Marlin Letter, share more than 28 years of trading experience.
According to Broz and Shaoul, there are many factors that point to an expected surge in financial futures trading -- the U.S. Treasury is set to re- issue 30YR bonds in early 2006, the first time since October 2001; the end of the Alan Greenspan era at the Federal Reserve; a surging economy in China; and the re-emergence of Japan's economy.
"A longstanding, common misconception about futures trading is how risky it is," said Shaoul, Marlin Letter partner.
Broz and Shaoul have spent 28 years trading futures successfully, and the courses are designed to share the tools and tips they continue to use today.
"Saul and I are professional traders.

The principals of the firm, Jack Broz and Saul Shaoul are both CBOT members and have a combined 33 years experience trading bond and Dow futures.
Shaoul joined Marlin as a partner in 2004 after over 20 years as an independent trader in the bond pit at the CBOT.Shaoul brought his trade set-ups and years of experience trading the bonds and developed an education program for Marlin's clients. The education includes live trading mentoring; Marlin's clients sit with Shaoul while he trades so they can see how he determines trade entry prices, profit targets, and stop-loss placement.Marlin's education and mentoring programs are available on-line or in-person.Classes are held two or three times each week and students may attend as often as they desire.Broz and Shaoul also take questions from their clients throughout the trading day as trade develops to help the client better understand how to apply the setups taught during the classes.
New traders and students like the hands-on approach that Shaoul and Broz take with their clients, and the benefit of being able to see Broz's charts and the trades he places on his trading platform.

The Marlin Letter (Jack Broz, President and Saul Shaoul, Vice-President)
Saul Shaoul has been a member of the Chicago Board of Trade since 1985.From 1985 through 2001 he was one of the most active traders in the 30-year US Treasury bond pit. With the suspension of T-bond issuance by the US Treasury in 2001, coupled with the inroads computerized trading was making in the marketplace, Saul started to supplement his pit trades with trades on the computer. In 2004, Saul joined forces with Jack Broz in running the Marlin Letter.
Today, Saul usually trades in the CBOT bond pit for the first few hours of the day before moving to Marlin's office where he continues to trade on the computer until 4pm.Since 2003, Saul has also traded the mini-sized Dow along with the bonds.
