Dr. Niazi began his career teaching at the University of Illinois College of Pharmacy where he was a tenured professor before he joined Abbott Laboratories in its international division; he became tenured at Abbott as their Volwiler Fellow when he left the company to start his own consulting business in the field of biopharmaceutical manufacturing, an emerging field at that time.
