Sarah Fasha was born in Los Angeles, California and grew up in Orange County, California until the age of 18.
Both of her
parents were born and raised in Cairo, Egypt making her
brother first generation Egyptian-Americans.
grandfather is Taher Aboufasha, a very famous Egyptian writer and poet best known for "Thousand and One Nights."
After high school, Sarah joined the United States Military where she served four years in the Navy and was honorably discharged.
is a military veteran.
pursued modeling in the Washington D.C. area where she
served for sometime in search of an outlet to the everyday lifestyle of the military.
was discharged, she
was able to learn the modeling business on her
own, creating her
own network and learning to negotiate her
loved to model, she
began to realize that there was more to be achieved in her
life and began transitioning into acting.
After years of training as an actor and doing several projects, she
decided to move back to Los Angeles to pursue her
acting career full-time.
Fast forward to today, she is now a graduate of the famous Lee Strasberg Institute Conservatory in West Hollywood and is a member of the SAG-AFTRA union.
In the summer of 2012, she
competed with many other Egyptian women and won the title of "Miss Egypt 2013" for the Queen of the Universe Pageant that took take place in January 2013 in Beverly Hills, CA.
In December 2013, Sarah made her mark in Egypt after becoming the first Egyptian-American actress to go viral in Egypt.
was met with sharp criticism for not being "Egyptian" enough due to her
American upbringing she
was also welcomed by many for her
confidence and persistence.
As a result she
appeared on many well-known talk shows in Egypt discussing her
overnight success in Egypt and addressing the rumors and controversies that led to her
being well-known not only in Egypt but in the Arab world as a whole.
has also appeared in many magazines and newpaper articles in Egypt.
is currently living between Los Angeles, CA and Cairo, Egypt, filming projects in both Arabic and English.
