32nd year as a member of the Seattle Seahawks
staff.She joined the Seahawks in the club's inaugural season, 1976, as administrative assistant in the public relations department, becoming one of the first community relations specialists in the NFL.Her title was changed in 1990 to more reflect her position as she became Community Services Director and then Director of Community Outreach in 1997.During her tenure, she has been invited to work on the NFL's Super Bowl staff the past 20 years and is an original and continuing member of the Seahawks Charitable Foundation board and the Pete Gross House board as well as being named an Honorary Commander at McChord Air Force Base.She
has been instrumental in every facet of the Seahawks
off-field activities, including establishing the team's alumni relations department.In addition, Sandy is a founding member of the annual Jacob Green Charity Golf Classic that has raised close to $2 million for the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.Prior to joining the Seahawks, she worked in the sports information office at the University of Southern California, the World Football League corporate office and the Southern California Sun.She is also the only female baseball letterwinner at Citrus College in Glendora, Calif., where she served as scorekeeper.
A native of Glendora, she
currently resides in Woodinville.
