Salwa H. Ammar is a professor of operations management and management science at Le Moyne College. She earned her B.S. degree in the United Kingdom and her M.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering and PhD in Management Science from the University of Florida. Her academic work includes several contributions to teaching and curriculum development. She is an active member of the INFORMS forum on education (INFORM-ED) and served as the editor of the column "Issues in Education" in ORMS Today. She is also involved in the instructional innovation activities of DSI and has participated in several of their tutorials, workshops, and competitions. Her teaching related articles are published in Journal of Studies in Educational Evaluation, The International Transaction in Operational Research, INFORMS Transactions on Education, Decision Line, and ORMS Today. Her technical research interests center on performance evaluation and decision support systems. Her experience includes developing various performance evaluation systems for both the private and public sector. Her research publications include articles in Decision Sciences, Jounal of Studies in Educational Evaluation, Uncertainty Analysis in Engineering and the Sciences, Journal of Socio-Economic Planning Sciences, Public Budgeting and Finance, International Journal of Technology Policy and Management, Review of Public Personnel Administration, and The International Journal of Fuzzy Sets and Systems.
