PORTSMOUTH - Sally Ann Goodwin, 65, of Mount Vernon Street, Somersworth, died Saturday, April 16, 2005, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.
Sally was born Oct. 13, 1937, in Attleboro, Mass., the daughter of John E. and Mary (Martin) Gaffney.

Sally volunteered for the American Red Cross and was an active Air Force family volunteer at a number of bases where her husband and their family were stationed.She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi; a member of the Somersworth Historical District Commission for nearly 16 years; and a member of the Works Athletic Club.
Sally worked for a time as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone.
She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her, including her loving husband, George C. Goodwin; a daughter, Theresa LaMarca and her husband Michael of Kittery, Maine; sons, Michael A. Goodwin of Dover, and Steven Goodwin and his wife Carol Ann of Florida; sisters, Fran Mancini of East Greenwich, R.I., Lois Sabia of Clearwater, Fla., Louise Arone of Harwich, Mass., and Meg (Marilyn) Needham of Duxbury, Mass.; grandchildren, Mark, Paul, Nicole and Stevie Goodwin, Francesca Guerrero, and Sarah, Jim and John Lamarca; her longtime friend Barbara Graham; her sister-in-law Marion, who was responsible for bringing Sally and George together, and her husband William Goodwin.
