Kota Kinabalu: Police have once again crippled the operations of a drug syndicate, whose 'modus operandi' was to hide the illicit items inside closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras, with the seizure of some six kilograms of the drugs at a premises in Asia City here on Monday.

Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Hamza Taib said following examination of the 15 CCTV boxes, police found 15 plastic packets of white substance believed to be syabu. He said each CCTV box contained about 400 grams of syabu, all wrapped neatly. All the seized drugs could fetch a market price of up to RM1.5 million.
"This is the second seizure made by the police in less than a week using the same modus operandi," he disclosed at a press conference at the state police headquarters in Kepayan yesterday.
