Civic sense takes a knock - Part 1
Dr. S Jeevananda Reddy, an ex-expert/chief technical advisor to United Nations Organizations like Food & Agriculture Organization, World Meteorological Organization, a former scientist with ICRISAT and advisor to several environmental groups and currently Convenor for 'Forum for a Sustainable Environment', agrees that population explosion has been instrumental in changing the skyline of the city and says, "The city has become dirtier with passage of time and civic sense is at its worst.
Dr. S Jeevananda Reddy agrees with her and states, "In many parts of twin cities, people answer nature's call openly in regal style, wherever they find an empty space or a boundary wall, whether it's in the heart of the city or the interiors.

The former chief technical advisor for United Nations, Dr S. Jeevanand Reddy said, "The report submitted by the Institute of Genetics and Hospital for Genetic Disease of Osmania University to the APPCB and the report of Vimta Lab to APPCB on air pollution provide a realistic situation on pollution levels and health hazards in the Patancheru-Bollaram Zones." He added, "In the case of water index and land index, APPCB tried to show that pollution factors had reduced and that common facilities for pollution control were adequate.
