Ruth Christensen, Mezzo-sopranoCurrently, asst professor of voice at Brigham Young University, she teaches undergraduate and graduate vocal literature, beginning lyric diction, and maintains a full private studio.

(Turlock, CA) and was director of the opera program; was a national finalist for the San Francisco Opera
,s Merola Program, a regional finalist for the NATS Artist Auditions, and won full tuition graduate study awards at Arizona State U
and U of Michigan
.Current research interest includes finding vocal works by Germanic female composers, in collaboration with the BYU
Department of Germanic and Slavic Languages.Dr. Christensen
has performed, directed and worked technically in opera, oratorio and concert venues in the U. S. and abroad such as the Cincinnati Opera, Michigan Opera Theater, Israel Chamber Orchestra, Phoenix Symphony, Lyric Opera Theater of Tempe
, Phoenix Bach Choir, Wasatch Chorale, Utah Baroque Ensemble, U of Michigan Opera Theater
, Young People,s Theater of Ann Arbor, and has also performed recently in Mexico and Austria.
