Race 2 Win: Daytona International Speedway Announces Promotions and Appointments
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (July, 22, 2002) - Daytona International Speedway President John Graham announced today the promotion of Pete D'Agresta to the position of Director of Race Track Operations and the appointment of Russ Tysinger to the position of Director of Capital and Facility Maintenance.
, who rejoins Daytona International Speedway
after being recalled to active duty in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, will oversee building maintenance for the Speedway
and its Daytona Beach properties along with responsibilities including capital projects, compliance management and event preparation. Tysinger, 38, is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy.He joined Daytona International Speedway in 1997 as assistant track superintendent.In 1999 he was named Director of Facility Operations at Daytona.Tysinger was promoted to Director of Facility Operatios for Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, KS, in 2000 where he oversaw facilty operations and construction of the track into its inaugural year.
A native of Pittsburg, PA, Tysinger
resides in Ormond Beach with his
children Kevin, 13, Patrick, 11, and Valerie, 8.
